Why Hongkies loves the British but hate PRC so much?

Under the British, you can't vote and elect your own Governor, Honkies need to pay taxes to the British but no need to pay to the CCP. Hongkies also need to pay the military expenditure for british army to protect them the PRC do it for from their own pocket. Under British rule, there were canning and CCP demolished the corporal punishment after 1997. When you take to the street, the colonial police will use force on you, under the CCP rule they can protest freely anywhere.
