Even my masters must admit that the import of cheap foreigners from 3rd world countries have affected us socially. But ultimately, they have done the people a whole world of good.
Look at the gullible old men who are cheated by china women. Or the gullible people believing in scams or fake business proposals concocted by these foreigners. Like it or not, they open our eyes to how the larger world operates. We failed in Suzhou because we weren't familiar with chinese ways of business- but now plenty of singaporeans are doing well in china.
By being here, the crass foreigners have made us stronger, more wary, more cynical.....which translates to street smarts when venturing out into the harsh world.
