美國海洋暨大氣總署（NOAA）於6月28日在官網公布一支影片，一艘科研潛艇在深海尋找二戰沈船時，拍到一群正在啃食劍魚遺體的深海角鯊，但其中一條鯊魚覓食到一半，竟慘遭另一條埋伏的大魚當場生吞。
影片拍攝地點，是在美國南卡羅來納州外海水下450公尺深處；當時，NOAA海洋探險研究隊（The NOAA Ocean Exploration and Research team）遙控潛艇的鏡頭，意外捕捉到至少11條深海角鯊（Dogfish），正爭先恐後啃食一條長約2.5公尺的劍魚遺體。

正當研究人員驚嘆眼前罕見的場景時，在潛艇後方突冒出一條大型多鋸鱸（Wreckfish）並一口生吞其中一條角鯊，體型較小的鯊魚僅剩尾巴在大魚嘴外虛弱地搖擺著。
NOAA表示，除非有相當分量食物，否則深海鯊魚不會成群出現。資深海洋學家奧斯特（Peter Auster）寫道，這群角鯊可能游上很長一段路，就是為了吃掉落到海底的劍魚遺體；科學家稱此情況為「落食」（food fall），當「落食」出現時，正是小魚成長與生存的關鍵。
從畫面中可以發現，角鯊們搶食劍魚屍體的空間不大，體型較大的多鋸鱸巧妙利用遙控潛艇為掩護，埋伏攻擊其中一條角鯊，當場上演「大魚吃小魚」的戲碼，也讓目擊過程的科學家驚呼連連。

The US Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced a film on the official website on June 28th. A scientific research submarine photographed a group of deep-sea horn sharks that were foraging the body of swordfish while looking for a World War II shipwreck in the deep sea. Half of the food was eaten, and another big ambush was swallowed on the spot.
The film was taken 450 meters below seawater in South Carolina, USA; at the time, the NOAA Ocean Exploration and Research team's remote submarine shot accidentally captured at least 11 deep sea sharks ( Dogfish) is rushing to eat a body of swordfish about 2.5 meters long.

Just as the researchers were stunned by the rare scenes in front of them, a large multi-sawed scorpion (Wreckfish) emerged from the back of the submarine and swallowed one of the horn sharks. The smaller shark had only the tail tail swaying weakly outside the big fish mouth. .
NOAA said that deep sea sharks will not appear in groups unless there is a considerable amount of food. Senior oceanographer Peter Auster wrote that the group of horn sharks may have traveled a long way to eat the remains of swordfish that fell to the bottom of the sea; scientists called the situation "food fall" ), when "falling food" appears, it is the key to the growth and survival of small fish.
It can be seen from the picture that the space sharks have little space to grab the body of the swordfish. The large-sized multi-saws cleverly use the remote submarine as a cover to ambush one of the sharks and stage the "big fish to eat small fish" on the spot.
