Why are there no back doors in HDB flats for fire escape?

For the umpteenth time, we're not talking abt fires outside the flat! I'm talking fires inside the flat. Without a second exit, if there's a fire in the flat and it comes betw you and the main door, you don't have any more escape route other than jumping out the window.

Yes, you can take the lift still if the fire is in the flat. As some said, the main door is fire-proof, so the fire will be contained while and if you can escape to the outside lobby. You dont use the lift only if the main building is on fire; then the electrical malfunctions and you're trapped. Robinson's fire was a lesson not to run into a lift when the store is on fire.
