Perhaps it's just me.

Growing up under LKY, PM as the human face of government & PM as the standup leader have been deeply ingrained in how i conceive the idea of Prime Ministership.

Then Woody Goh came along. Sincere but uncharismatic, he believed in situational leadership & coupled with not being the best of orators, frequently Goh let others speak up for him.

Now it's PM Lee Hsien Loong.

During this 2010 Budget Debate, he was seldom seen & did not even speak up at all.

I know it's not compulsory, but in my books, the PM should at least speak up even if Budget is led by the Finance Minister.

Now that the Budget Debate is over, is PM Lee going to be silent throughout the Committee of Supply debates too?

Is a behind-the-scene PM the latest leadership style of our PM?

Old man once disqualified Dhanabalan as a possible PM claiming the Chinese won't accept an Indian.

I think we hardly miss PM Lee these past few days as it is & for me, even if it is PM Thaman, I would hardly mind.

As long as LKY is around, this PM is just a Puppet Minister. In his national message on TV, you see how the strings pull his hands up and down - his gestures are so wayang.
