Who wants marriage when the 'Net is there!
21 Jan 2010, 1637 hrs TNN
It helps us plan, chalk out our daily activities, think ahead, network... and now its turning into someone who is likely to become our virtual
soul mate.
One in four Americans feels that the Internet is a happy substitute to a grumpy, aggressive, moody spouse. Zogby International and 463 Communications, a communications consultancy, conducted a survey on the role of the Internet in people’s lives.
They findings were more than surprising — 24 per cent of Americans feel that the Internet can replace a partner for some time.
In America, the percentage was highest among singles of whom 31 per cent said the Internet could be a substitute - no difference among males and females.
Therefore, it appears that the Internet has become a hot property with so many singles ready to marry it!
