Former Executive Assistant to President Trump, Madeleine Westerhout told Sky News host Paul Murray “no one works harder for the American people than Donald Trump”. “I was President Trump’s Executive Assistant for over two and a half years,” she said. “I really got to see him up close and got to know him as a leader, as a boss, and also as a father and a husband, and there is no one that works harder for the American people than Donald Trump. “The President works so hard. Last night I think he got back to the White House from his last rally at 3:00am. And when I was with him, he was up at the crack of dawn. “He honestly ran circles around much of the staff in the west wing.” Ms Westerhout said the President empowered her to make the decisions regarding who could see him in the Oval Office, and who couldn’t. “But at the end of the day, every single person was worth the president’s time and so for someone that it was my job to keep him on schedule, that was a little bit difficult,” she said. “He empowered me every single day, as a young woman that meant the world to me.” Ms Westerhout spoke of her recent book, ‘Off the Record’, which details her experience of working in the White House under President Trump. “I wrote exactly what I experienced which was positive and uplifting, and I did that without reserve. I’m very proud of the book that I wrote, and I know the president was proud of it too,” she said. “It was just important to get my side of the story out there, and my side of the story is a very positive portrayal of what it was like working in the White House for President Trump.”
