remember the old day 'quotation' pasted on the wall of my bunk in ns days:

"when you do something right, nobody knows. when you do something wrong, everybody knows!"

of course, this is the reality of life. imo, he better strips his monk clothes and say nothing, washes his ass to squat in jail. this is the best lesson to him despite of all the buddhist sutras and so call teachings he has ever come across. he has visualised what is life, and what is his nature. there will not be any heaven nor paradise waiting for him. take off those awesome clothes, keep hairs and prepare to surf the sbf after he gets out of the jail and fxxk the ccbs.

A real buddhist monk does not cry or feel saddened by worldly gain orl loss,,as he should detached himself from all worldly possession and passions. desires...
If a monk achieve great charity work ...as seen to be by commoners...he shall not have any great passion..if he failed ,,he should not have great pain or regrets......
just like a Buddhisava...knowing and understanding all the pleasures..pain..fears..feeling of sentient beings...BUT not drawn into sentients feeling...AS ALL FEELINGS AND HAPPENINGS ARE JUST IMPERMENANCE ILLUSIONS........
He has fallen into worldly detractions..and temptations.......maybe good for him to seek solitude and meditates on all his past deed....if he truly repent...he may emerge a greater beings...and hopefully monk

I can't agree more. A monk esp. Ven Ming Yi, chief abbot here and in HK should already be well versed in being calm and stoic under pressure. He should not cry because he is supposed to be in control of his emotions, urges and feelings. He is a hero in the eyes of many, remember all those stunts he did. Breaking into tears is so worldly and unmonk-like. What a shame! And oh yes! where are those admirers both local and overseas including many celebrities, who once treated him like the special one and put him so high on a pedestal?

My sentiments exactly. I'm referring to those "many others" who tot he was their hero. Recall those days of high profile stunts on TV. Boy, he was the talk of the town, a TV star/celebrity/actor/Phd holder/chief abbot/CEO/monk extraordinaire all rolled into one marketing phenomenon.
