Can any one expalin who is the 'false prophet' that is mentioned in the Book of Revelation?

The 'false prophet' is mentioned in the singular, therefore it is only one person. Who could that person be?

There are alot of 'speculations' on this. You can search in Google for key words like "false prophets" and I believe there are many articles on this. I don't think that the false prophet can be revealed by any man but God Himself will reveal to us in due course.
