Whiner: PAP MUST Take Action Against Bully! Boo hoo!

I refer to the following TRS article:

It has been 3 weeks since netizens first complained about the uncivilized online etiquette of YPAP member Paul Yap (refer to the two photos below showing his comments) and yet there has been no response from the YPAP or Pioneer SMC MP Cedric Foo whom he works under.

Two weeks ago, some concerned folks at TR Emeritus sent a letter to MP Cedric Foo to demand for action to be taken (http://www.tremeritus.com/2014/12/27/ypap-members-should-not-engage-in-cyber-bullying/).

However, till now there is no response from MP Cedric Foo on what has been done to rectify the errant YPAP member’s behaviour and to prevent recurrence of cyber-bullying. What is the point of having a MP for Pioneer SMC if he ignores emails?

While the silence of MP Cedric Foo is not entirely surprising, what shocked me was this exchange between two netizens that occurred in the comments section of the Real Singapore facebook for that article (https://www.facebook.com/therealsingapore/posts/892976427414192).

Why must MP Cedric Foo take action? If he doesn't, lightning will strike him dead? PAP's gonna fire him if he doesn't? It seems that most sinkies have no idea regarding the meaning of the word 'must'. The MP should take action, not 'must'.
