Giving husbands the bling factor! Vera Wang launches diamond wedding bands for men
Targeting husbands-to-be who love a bit of bling, Vera Wang has launched a men's wedding ring studded with a double row of diamonds.
Posing a sharp contrast to the traditional plain band, the dazzling white gold creation, which boasts a price tag of $2,200 is described as 'handsome and distinguished'.
It is one of two jewellery pieces created specifically for men by the U.S. designer, and more are set to go on sale in the coming months.
The other men's wedding band included in the Vera Wang Love collection, costs $2,000 and features seven round cut diamonds.
Both designs include two sapphires, which are described as symbols of 'faithfulness and love'.
Vera Wang built her wedding fashion empire dressing brides and bridesmaids, and she has since expanded her product offering.
She launched a collection of diamond bridal jewellery for women last year.
The are currently more than 60 designs in the Vera Wang Love collection for women, with prices ranging from $649.99 to $16,999.99.
At the time the 63-year-old designer said: 'Creating a line of beautiful diamond engagement rings and bridal jewelry is a natural extension of my passion for designing bridal fashion.'
And following its success she has decided to tap into the men's market. The decision to legalize same-sex marriage in the U.S. state of New York last year, could have prompted the move.
