HK anytime for me.
go in cold months, bring a gal. Hug her and appreciate the skyline from HK Cultural centre looking across to Victoria Harbour...the experience is priceless, after that, go back hotel for bonking sessions.
another good spot, go Victoria Peak, also during cold month, there is a Pacific Coffee Company, take a mug of hot coffee, go sit outdoors during the cold months, splendid.
There is also this shopping acarde on Victoria Peak, there is a western grill resturant, ask for window view, overlook Central Island - splendid.
Singapore's skyline, is building up, but there are two things different. Singapore skyline is surrounding Marina Bay, you need to go somewhere high - eg: ex-Westin Stanford to get to see everything - but then, you are looking from high to down, a different perspective from HK, where a panoramic view of HK skyline is visible just from the stretch of esplanade at TST.
Singapore lack a vantage point where one can catch the entire skyline - which essentially must include the Fullerton area, UOB plazas, 3-tower of the MBS.
HK if I not wrong, was voted 3rd best skyline / night scene in the world...others include Vancouver & Paris. Paris - the view from Effiel Tower is splendid but its a different atmosphere, there are no skyscrapers except for one in Paris near La defense -cannot rem name.
