I am not referring to you, but those on the list whom you mentioned earlier. But as it is, you have contributed much already. Who can ask for more?

Thanks for your compliments.

I will do my best for Singapore

I have to agree with you on that, though. But I have no doubt that there are other people like Lily Neo, or better than her.

From appearance, one may suspect that Lily may be a fake 'do gooder', which means to say she does what she does only for show to present a favourable impression. But then that may not be so. It is really puzzling especially for ordinary voters.

True...As for me, I think Lily is an excellent MP but sadly she is in the wrong party

among the 81 white scums.......and also include the past retired ones.........everytime topic of good pappy MP comes up for discussion.........Lily Neo's name will appear......this is how pathetic the situation is.

yes..the situation is very bad...who are the good PAP MPs? can count with your fingers. My grandma thought that LKY is a good MP...I defer

So the problem lies with Lily Neo.

Why go on associating with the 'Devil'. She is then in effect simply serving as a beautiful mask for an ugly monstrous Devil. Is it worth it, in the name of Divine goodness?

I think Lily shd put her feet dwon and tell LHL how she feels abt the PAP and resign from the pap. if she and more PAP MPs leave the pap, that will shake the pap from inside out

Based on my youthful days in Singapore, there were very few classmates and friends whose given name at birth were: Tracy, Michelle, Sarah, etc., or John, David, Michael, etc.

I recall one teacher in Secondary Three, who insisted on calling Michael, Allan, Harold, and a few others, by their given names in Chinese, although many of them are "peranakan" and had Chinese and "English" given names.

i am not peranakan

Wow, I suppose that after being in Toronto for about 3 decades, I continue to use the Chinese name given to me by my parents, that based on your reasoning, my name does not sound cosmopolitan nor professional.

Charlie is pretty cosmopolitan

There is a difference between:
1. my mum's given name - which is your mother's name; for example if your mother's name is Lee Swee Lian, Lee being her surname, and Swee Lian her given name
2. the name my mother gave me (in my birth certificate) - is your given name; for example if your father's surname is Tan, and either your father or mother or both gave you Wei Ling, your given name is Wei Ling. But in the event that they gave you, at birth, Tan Wei Ling Tracy, it means you did not acquire Tracy in your youth or adult.

In your context, I believe your intention is to write:
The name my mother gave me is in my birth certificate.

hahahaha...yes..excellent!!

I believe that Dr. Lily Neo and her spouse have been medical professionals for decades, and are comfortable enough, to be independent candidates or as a member of another political party. There are many in their profession, who are not fond of the present ruling party.

I agree...but she knows enough that the pap can be vindictive

Do you agree my dad has good taste?

me presumed that your dad gave you this name when you were in your early teens, or slightly earlier. great taste your dad has, he wanted you to be as demure as Tracy Huang? wonder if your mum would be jealous :p:p:p

Hopefully, you being the daughter looks like your mother.
What is considered tall? At least 170 cm? (my wife is 170cm)
What is considered shapely? 85 cm, 60 cm, 87 cm (34C, 23, 33 before child birth)

yes..for an asian lady, 170cm is considered tall

A lady at 170 cm is considered tall whether she is Asian or Caucasian.

Shapely means curvy, as in 36-24-36 (very few are that well endowed and small waist),
or 34-24-35
but depending on the generation (the younger generation is more busty due to nutrition and exercise or both),
Asian women on average are most probably 33-24 or 25-35

I sense that you are an experienced man with good taste, appreciates beauty and knows how to enjoy good things in life. Shapely means big enough to enjoy without being too large and being well proportioned..33" is too small for a 170cm gal

And she and many others will most probably swear by their kitchen or sky gods that he is the man who single-handedly built Singapore from a muddy mangrove swamp to a modern city, and so deserves the title of 'God Above All Gods'.
