Lai joined the company in 2019 following the acquisition of Singapore-based independent asset manager Thirdrock Group, which he founded.
Tan’s appointment comes as part of the wealth manager’s growth ambitions in Asia, which includes strengthening client relationships and the firm’s wealth management platform in the region, said Schroders Wealth Management CEO Oliver Gregson.
“Asia is central to our global ambition. With rapid wealth creation, increasing cross-border flows, and rising demand for sophisticated, advice-led solutions, the opportunity is significant,” said Gregson in a press release on Thursday (Apr 2).
