SINGAPORE - What better way to chase away the Monday blues than a free breakfast? Many people here started their week with the National Breakfast Day at McDonald's.

Most participating outlets started giving out free wholegrain Egg McMuffins at 6am. More than 120,000 of the buns are expected to be given out till 11am, or while stocks last, according to the McDonald's Singapore website.

The website added that the breakfast menu will be available till 5pm on Monday, although some outlets will serve corn instead of hashbrown after 11am.

My time is much more valuable than a burger. To me, the burger is not free as I have to wake up much earlier and endure a long queue just to collect a freebie. But to the average half-wit, their time is of little cost and thus, they think the burger is "free" in spite of waiting in the long queue.

Why our grassroots neber enlighten them har? We should have our own separate exercise and deliver the muffins to their home, then they no need to queue and the time saved is productivity gained.
