What's the difference between cod liver oil and fish oil?

Pollutants & trans fats take time to build up in the body. They'll accumulate in the body & will eventually interfere with the various bodily functions.

If you don't do the necessary lifestyle changes e.g. avoid trans fat you'll get the bad news in your 40's or 50's: high cholesterol, type II diabetes, cancers,...:(

I'm not here to preach, only to share info.

hi food that contains trans fats are fast food and hawker centre food correct?

Or just simply fast food?

The most obvious users of trans fat oils are fast food & hawkers.

it's hard to tell which restaurants are using tranfats oil. That's why I'm trying to reduce eating out & when I do eat out I go for the soup dishes, sushi,..., dishes which don't use oils.

Not forgetting that hydrogenated oils(trans fat) is used in many baked products like cookies & cakes. At the supermarket you can read the labels but at a restaurant you can't tell:rolleyes:

Trans fats is not the only dangers out there. Frying with vegetable oils is bad as it oxidises the oil. Especially true with olive oil, by itself it is healthy but high heat causes it to oxidised. If you are going to used high heat it's better to use oils like coconut oil or ghee.

When I go to the supermarket it can be tough for me to find things that don't include trans fats, high fructose sugar, msg, preservatives,.. ... Sometimes it's easier to be Ignorant :)
