What's on Mama Sham's mind?

In the video below a life was saved but Mama Sham did not say a word about it.
A Malay prevented a fight in the MRT, he took the trouble to locate him and politicize it when he should do all he could to apprehend that culprit. Please dun get me wrong I am all praise for that guy regardless of race. My question is why is the Mama doing this?

Because the election is near? Need to win Malay votes? Malay readers here what's your take?

One but cannot help that this is so.
Bad behavior is bad behaviour, whether ang moh or Cina.
He also talked about the need to maintain harmony.
Worse, he made no comments that the police refused to look at the evidence, refused to take down the particulars of the man.
He is hoping that the ang moh's employers will do something about it.
If he is a retiree?
Or runs his own business?
He can continue to go round abusing people?
