$5 for a bowl of fishball mee - ur paying for the novelty of eating off a marble-top table & a nostalgic 'chicken motif' bowl ...

and $9 for seafood horfun for the fun of eating from a palm leaf ...

btw how much is the 'meesiam mai hum' ? or from this year's rally - the 'pei dan choke' ... ? :p

Food Republic every branch is charging restaurant price. I boycott long ago LOL

There's one new good price foodcourt at Funan I visited recently. The old foodcourt in basement moved to 4th storey. Prices up of course but not too up. Japanese rice set with fish and soup only $5. At that price, PRC staff course. But the food actually quite good and standard size not stingy starving size.

My eldest son shortgun at 16 with twins while he was studying in England. So I and my wife have to do the honorable thing of paying his g/f family off and bringing up the twins here in Singapore.

Not so old lah. The twins now in primary 6 lah

About twice the price compare to hawker center. Orchard Ion is a blood sucker.
With this price better eat in restaurant have waitress and need to que and fight for seat.

It will like the McD. Many foodstall in shopping center is franchise. Will be manage by some old Silliporean and FT.

Yes I can't expect the food to be "very good " but at least the " old taste " might still up to my standard .
