Bad news after bad news. Singaporeans are emotionless, unhappy. Inflation record highs but salaries stagnant. We missed out on iPhones, Glaxaxies boom. Houses and COEs record highs. Service levels sucks... From public transport to food, in fact I can vouch that food quality has gone way down. I now prefer to makan in Malaysia. Better food, service better at half the price. So really what is good about Singapore these days? Seems like we have fallen behind...

I just had breakfast in Starbucks in San Francisco Union Square. 3 bagels and a cafe mocha, only $12. This is cheaper than Singapore. Plus gets friendly service and generous condiments like jam, butter..etc. Singapore is now overpriced!!

those are actually the good things. if not voters shall forget what are the bad things pap keep doing and screwing the sillyzens until they becum numb and cannot do without their screwing.

the good things people shall remember the soreness and hopefully remember to vote them out. they can begin or rehearse by voting them out of punngol by-erection.

May be a good recession that reduces construction, hence crowds. Lot of temporary birds will bail out...

3 bagels in one go are a little too much for the tummy. can result in ingestion and or constipation. there are 2 starbucks near union square. 1 is on the corner of powell and o'farrell and the other is right next to hotel nikko on o'farrell, barely 200 feet from 1. no starbucks on union square itself, unless you're referring to the cafe on the square itself.

I just had a scary thought.
If we die before CPF withdrawal age, all CPF monies, instead of giving it to your heirs, the monies will be transfered to their CPF accounts. So if they could raise the age so high that noone ever sees that money. Shudders. Is this possible?

This country remains attractive to the cash-rich Asian expats who come from countries where safety is a major issue, and for the rich elite.

For the rest, suck up and pay up -- gst, erp, cpf, coe, absd, ssd, property tax. Does it ever end? Increasingly this is a land whereby tenants (citizens and PRs) are working harder and harder for the landlord (government).
