What WP is doing now, reminds me of what DPP (民进党) did in the Taiwan.
In the 2000 Presidential Election - DPP was championing the rights, dignities and the plights of the poor. It thought it had the solution to all these issues. After it won and took over the government, things got worse.
Yes, DPP was trying t help. Yes, Taiwan became more democratic. But Taiwanese paid a huge economic and social price. The government became more corrupt. The judiciary became more corrupt. The Army and Police became more corrupt.
In the Presidential Election in 2008, Taiwanese decided enough was enough and they voted the KMT (国民党) back into power. But the damage was already done - 8 years of seemingly irreparable damage.
If not for the alleged assassination on the then President Chen Shuibian in 2004, DPP would have lost. But some voters were uncertain then and thought the assassination was the job of KMT. These voters voted for the DPP only to regret much later. Another 4 years of damage. Of course, as we know now, the disgraced Chen Shuibian was sentenced to jail for corruption. If not for their corrupt judiciary, I believe more DPP officials would have been indicted.Still blind and mindless supporters continued to believe DPP is good.
The WP MPs have opening acknowledge that WP does not have the experience to run the government. Yet, its blind and mindless supporters are pushing for it to take over the government by discrediting the incumbent. Some such as Pappy Tan are even spreading lies and untruths. I hope these blind and mindless supporters take a leaf from Taiwan politics.
Have you had experience where others tried to help you only to make matter worse because they do not have the expertise to help? Do you want to go same route as Taiwan? You decide.
