Not TRUE, if 28 WP MPs sit in parliament; it is the first and most crucial step in INSTITUTIONALISING opposition and a truly democratic and Westminster style parliament and also the beginnings of an alternative govt with a shadow cabinet.
Such a gradual change is less alarming to RISK AVERSE (Kiasi and Kiasu) SINKIES.
SINKIES should ask themselves, will the PAP last FOREVER? If NO, then who would take over when it does finally collapse as all dynasties, empires etc do finally collapse. If OPPOSITION parties are not INSTITUTIONALISED in Parliament in sufficient numbers of at least 1/3 of parliament to offer as alternative govt, no one would be ready to take over in short notice. Those few NMPs or NCMPs as mere tokens of democracy won't know anything about running a govt.
