What to do when Total Electronic Blackout happens...

Solar flares are known to be able to damage electronic components, a country's national electrical grids and even personal devices such as handphones. Such flares are not uncommon but usually are only temporary.

Thus what to do when a total blackout happens? Which means the National Electrical grids are damaged, causing not just electricity in homes to fail, but even water supplies as generators run on electricity to cleanse and pump water....

1. Do not panic.

2. Have at least some cash in hand, for purchases of goods from neighbors, as banks and shops will close temporarily for repairs when possible.

3. Stock up food and water by a few cartons for a few days, enough for drinking and shower.

4. As the nights will go dark, stock up a few cartons of candle for light. Batteries may not work.

5. Know at least where a nearby doctor lives, so that in an emergency, one can walk or cycle to his home for med attention.

6. As Communications and radios will not work, perhaps nearest Community Centers will be the place to get information and help between govt agencies and citizens daily.

These are just some suggestions from the insignificant nobody me. I am sure others have more better ideas. Do share.

Present generations of Humankind had relied a lot upon the discovery of electricity in the early 1900s....

Back when Electricity and its evolution was not discovered, our NON-TECH ancestors could only rely on MASTED SAILS ships which took at the least a year to travel from one far location to another...

In those evolving days, from the East to the West, horses were the SOURCE of information travel thru vast distances. and with America's ingenuity and dedication, the POSTAL SERVICE was born - dedicated horsemen would ride on horses for thousands of miles, thru rain, snow or storms, to send precious information and letters to citizens, thru WAY STATIONS, and change of horses as no horse can run forever, to ensure COMMUNICATIONS is maintained as fast as possible, regardless if from a President to Federal authorities or just simply love letters to loved ones....

With the invention of Bicycles in 1885, as well as ICE steam engines on ships, CRITICAL information travel became a whole lot more faster, with POSTMEN on bicycles to just a single tap on an electronic pad using electricity to send information at Light speed to another, even into outer space thru light particle Photons....

However, WHENEVER our progress and evolution is hindered, we just return to what our Humankind ancestors had done, and REBUILD with the proven SUCCESSFUL knowledge that lives inside us and not just on written material alone.....

During WW2, the brutal Nazi economist Albert Speer was credited as a Financial Genius for his creative ways to finance the devil Hitler's savage conquests, but the reality was that he was just a street corner CROOK. He STOLE whatever his master had predatorily conquered - works of arts, gold, resources, to PURCHASE further raw materials to PRODUCE arms, weapons, ships, aircrafts, etc, and even horrifically used SLAVE LABOR - Jews and Europeans - for manufacturing purposes of weapons to slaughter even more fellow Humankinds.

Out of patriotism, the naived and fooled Germans may even except no wages for their efforts, but HOWEVER, soldiers will need food, water, shelter and arms/ammunitions to fight a war.

In Democratic USA, instead of using such devastating and cruel policies, WAR BONDS - the beginnings of US Treasury bonds, were issued to Americans and Europeans, to help FINANCE the war efforts. At its very basic level, it simply means ' I (USA) owe you ( investors) ' with even INTERESTS offered.

Most Americans would not have the funds to buy even such bonds as they were the 90%, but the elites whom formed the mere 10%, had much more funds, career and expectations at stake, accepted realities and bought it. It was a matter of CONFIDENCE. Such War Bonds were taken up, resulting in USA being able to fund not just 2 theatres of war, but even 3 or more if necessary, won, and USA had NEVER reneged upon its 'I owe you' Bonds'....

The point is, in a time of adversity, rich and poor WILL desire to survive, even if not for themselves, it will be for their loved ones and generations to come. In such times, it is either we die one by one, OR survive TOGETHER as one, sharing whatever we have, to turn the tide for better days to come.....

If I may say- such as yours is just another radical islamist form of ' inshaAllah' - to EXCUSE oneself from doing what is needed to progress and evolve, not just for oneself but loved ones and society....

Sorry bro that I have to disagree with you, - we Humankind WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT......at the least for loved ones and future generations of Humankind to come.....but to find means and adaptions to survive, to progress and evolve...

Even if such powerful Solar flares are not that strong as described, ultimately PREPAREDNESS by Humankind is better than cure....more so as our reliance on electricity gets deeper with each passing day.

When this happens, rapist and robbers will all appear to commit their crimes.
This is the best time for action, becos there will be no communications, and the 999 will malfunction.

So my advice is for the females to lock themselves at home.
And all the gold & jewelry shops to lock their shop properly and stay on guard with their weapons on standby,becos the robbers will force their way in.
