For singkieland to move forward and realise its true destiny. We need a Hong Kong like ICAC. A corruption commission with teeth and not a plaything for those in power. The reason is looking at alot of so called democratic countries etc is actually ruled by oligarchs. Look at ang mor lands,,for decades etc the politicians have been under controlled of the rich industralists etc. The middle class countries have their middle class decimated and the rich just seem to get richer because they control the economy and change things in their favour. Looking at Singkieland's development, in the 80s etc things were going well, and the people actually made a decent living. Going into the 90s when Pinky came into the picture and the old guard started dropping like flies, things have actually gotten worse with alot of petty measures taken against alternative voices etc. Look at Pinky now, he is basically going senile.
In turn, if the opposition win,, they might and most often will come up with policies that favour the fringe groups like faggots etc because such policies have minimal effect on the economy but makes it look nicer to other countries (window dressing) but often such opposition gahmens make little impact on the structural changes needed to improve things. For example mudland,,,a moratorium is placed on death sentence and effective but unlike by ang mors tool to combat crime. And of course mudland cancel the HSR and some other projects. Bully singkieland to distract from mudland problems. But what else have they done that are structural improvements? Basically nothing. Madhatter is an experienced PM who knows the ins and outs of gahmen and still things stay the same...
So singkieland should be learning about the issues with a change of gahmen and ensure be it PAP or the Opposition in office, they rule for singkies and not for the oligarchs etc. Real proper effective change is needed,,,not fringe level pandering that looks good on paper and nothing else. 3 years on, some folks figured that innovation may well be the key needed to propel us forward, my thoughts- do we have enough Sinkies to do so? A threshold is required, don’t you agree?
