patient heckled by staff?
A male patient at Tan Tock Seng Hospital fell to his death from a window at the fire escape stairwell yesterday morning.
Police were called to the scene at about 9:30am in the morning and they had found the male patient lying motionless on the ground just outside the hospital building.
The man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead on the scene and police are currently investigating the case which has been classed as an unnatural death.
It is understood that the man had broken the window panel at the access to the fire escape stairwell and had fallen out of the window.
It is not immediately clear if the act of falling out the window was deliberate.
Tan Tock Seng Hospital explained that the broken window has since been boarded up and they are currently conducting checks on the other patients that were in the same ward as the man to ensure they are well.
