there were many who came, failed and dissipated into thin air. then there were the persistent ones who are still around but is only around hoping to clinch a $16k monthly mp's pay. are they really for the voters? i really doubt so.

the worst would those who are there for personal vengeance than for anything. they are there hoping to see and witness the fall of singapore in the guise of bieng "concerned oppo". these are the most dangerous group who would engage like-minded hypocrites to be their minions.

luckily, the voters can see through this and wisely didn't vote them.

this i fully agree. but on the other hand, there are envious jokers who are bent set to destroy that in their own brand name of so called opposition - oppose for the sake of opposing. they are usually fed by a foreign entity which is kept in the dark. this is the dangerous lurking dark force that seek to see singapore down.

it's very simple to discern: why would a foreign entity be so interested in singapore politic?

excessive opps ? can WP contest all or 80% of seats next GE ? likely no. WP will probably contest around 40-50% of seats. we still need the "excessive opps" to contest rest of 50% seats.

the question should be can any of those opps other than wp win any wards? if they can't, it's better they unite with the stronger wp. the crux of the matter is to win wards. only then they can get into parleement and kick the pap butts.

i hate to mention this. but new opps such as Socialis front and USD (forgotten even what it stands for) which were formed by the the infamous couple from the defunct F4. what was the purpose for that?
