Japanese might be nothing compared to the rest of the world but compared to other Asian country they are still no. 1 when comes to products design and invention . You are right , younger generation of Japanese eat too much hamburger and forget their own culture and start to become very lazy .

In terms of economy Japs is behind China now and in term of per capita income they are behind us,so when you say they are no 1,I am a bit doubtful!
In the 80s,China is maybe 100 times weaker than the Japs,and gradually it narrows down to 50x,30x,and now perhaps less than 10 times and looking at the rate the Chinese are growing,very soon Japs will be nuked!You can easily understand even if Japs is nuke equipped ,and if both China and Japs nuked each other,you know the answer who will collapse first looking at the vast size of China!!That's why I say I am very worried for the Chao Jepun...............

Yes, I also can feel their powerful team spirit and group dynamism at work; though some individual Japs are quite resourceful in their own right. Beware of their military outlook. They have always been a war-like country; just like the Turks and the Germans. History has it recorded!
