What do you think of Dell Vostro 330 ?

I'm not into gaming but I think that's why Dell has the Alienware line for the gamers. Don't really know how good those laptops are:confused:

If I was a gamer I'd just DIY using various gaming parts.

DIY is cheaper, u can get exactly wat parts u 1...but when it breakdown...u mus b able to troubleshoot n determined...say...monitor had no image is due to monitor? grpahic card? connection cable? or motherboard problem...u had to bring it down to distributor for rma...if it take 1 mth for rma return...then no point leow...got warranty ish like no warranty if u cnot afford 1 mth no pc usage...

Ailenware is good but overprice...an Ailenware desktop with my present diy config will cost me close to 6k...furthermore...Ailenware although allow some custormisation is realli bery limited in choices...

The better of both world btn PC Seller n DIY ish local online seller...they pratically had everything SLS has for custormisation. They offered you choice of 1-3 yrs on site warranty. They will troubleshoot on site, removed ur, say faulty MB and send it for RMA and t-loan u a temp MB. Upon rtn, they will installed it bk into ur system...foc. But don't xpect their price to be on par with SLS...it usually 10-15% more which i feel still quite alrite consider the service they provide...

Future upgrade is easy...jus drop em an email...list out all de parts u wannna chg n they do it for you onsite...:D:D

The main problem with using laptops is the heat the latest GPUs generate. If you really want the maximum experience you need to use 2 of the latest SLI/Crossfire GPU's which are very big & generate alot of heat.

With new GPU's being introduced every few months, a generic ATX box is easier to upgrade than some proprietary brand. Granted the Alienware product look nice.

Alienware laptops are designed for gaming, that's what their makers said. :D Other than that gaming using laptops is not recommended. Get a D.I.Y. desktop.

I still play games but it's those older games which I never got a chance to play when I was younger. Many of the modern games give me a headache because of the fast graphics:(

You can download the old games for free at various sites like:

Yep, they will usually give you a choice of either buying a brand new part at a discount or waiting 1+ month plus for a free replacement:rolleyes:

That's why I hang on to my old PCs to use as a spare, just in case:)

i am using dell 24" lcs monitor for 6 years already. dell's lcd monitors are good in my opinion but recently i noticed that there is white shade on my upper right screen. but the last time when my desktop still under warranty, there was an issue with my graphic card and they sent 2 ah nehs to my home. the 2 keklengs maciam come to their own home and hang around.
i guess you have to wash your home after that. big spring cleaning.

I have been using Dell 22" for 3 years now and it is working great. No problems at all and I would get another if this one conks out. Checking the rear, it is a "Made In China" model but then again most everything is made there nowadays.

My other PCs has a Samsung and LG monitors and none has given any problems and they are 4 years old already. My Apple Laptop is a year plus and touch wood no problems so far too. I guess nowadays, there are less problems with PCs unlike before.

Water cooling systems are quieter but I notice that they have fallen out of favor.

Many of the games are classics, arcade & RPG games. I'd be surprise if you have ALLL of them:)

Wasteland for the DOS platform was the 1st game I ever bought & it was fun to go through again. So too was UFO, Bards Tale, Ultima series, ,...

No need to pirate as these games have bee abandoned.

i was referring to people who buy this casing, not you.
if you need 2 TB to store games, then you have a bigger problem than finding a casing.

i touch this casing before, it is shit. NO where close to build quality of good lian li.

buy lian li. my advice.

water kill board, and worse, only a little faster than high end air.
high end air is closing the gap.

low end water is shit, high end water is expensive.

so it is out of favour because of price and high end air.
