All over the island, business for these pasar malams are declining year by year, this year being the worst. Why? What is happening? What are the causes?

Are Chinese Singaporeans no longer celebrating the most important two days of their cultural heritage? Does that mean the Chinese no longer see themselves as Chinese first?

Or are they spending the money they have paying debts? Utility bills, housing loans and servicing ah loang interests?

Or the money is spent for short holidays abroad?

So being one of the richest country in the world does not mean that the citizens are rich as well?

Buy junk and let people earn our ,already hard to earn dollar .

Not all junk, I am talking about the typical New Year foodstuff, new clothing and decorations. The typical HDB supermarket whose yearly tented bazaar are experiencing the worst business ever.
