Just passed by this piece of art along the linkway to the Esplanade, can anyone here able to explain what this piece of art means? I was actually filled with curiosity and amusement looking at this long row of whatever

I wonder if there's any art experts here to give more constructive comment

This is about the art of expressing our flow of creativity freely, not bounded by any particular length, shape and size of the rope/thread (or whatever you call it).

This is what is called " ABSTRACT ART"....

The numerous ways a thread can drop onto the ground when released from a height. There is no fixed pattern... just like abstract art.

the strings are formed into cryptic characters on each frame, and if you read the message from frame to frame and from one wall to another, it says......

d e v o u r , d e f e c a t e , a n d d i e d e v i o u s l y .

This art was created by some one who pee on a piece of canvas. Its called high art because the pee-er is Old Fart

I do agree about the lacklustre effort
Anyway, RUN supposes that the theme was about life journeys

Abstract art seeks to break away from traditional representation of physical objects. It explores the relationships of forms and colors from the artist imagination and through his own interpretation. whereas more traditional art represents the world in recognizable images.

if u lausai into a pail and close your eyes anyhow throw it on a paper can also make a beautiful pattern :D

The art pieces depict the different positions a piece of thread landed in when thrown in the air several times. ;)
