When a machine ran out of fuel or broke down, the 20-year-old would simply steal a replacement, using a set of master keys.
On Monday, a district court heard that the jobless man had gone on joy rides on the stolen machines while disqualified from riding.
For his latest offences, he was jailed a year and eight months and disqualified for five years.
He pleaded guilty to theft, riding while under disqualification and without insurance.
Court documents state that his crime spree kicked off at 1am on May 23.
With his 16-year-old cousin Mohamad Erizam Zainudin acting as a lookout, he stole the first motorcycle from a car park at Tampines Street 12.
They abandoned it at a car park at Hougang Avenue 2 and stole the second at 2am.
However, this broke down two hours later at 4am and the duo went on to steal the third at Hougang Avenue 10.
They probably hid out and rested during the day because they next struck again at 11pm at Jalan Teck Whye.
