that is why i have mentioned many times online before. only singaporeans and our govt think jobs are given based on merit. i tot so when i was a fresh grad. 5 years from now and i have seen the ugly side.
what is more fustrating is, we hire foreigners based on merit. the next thing before we realized, foreigners start pushing us out of job by ganging up with his own people. they refuse to coorperate and give excuse.
on the other hand, we singaporeans fight among each other while foreigners happily kick us out one by one. have you seen how we fight among ourselves only to have an ang mo boss replace us one by one with their own people? sorry to sound "sexist" but i feel the ladies are usually quite individualist. fighting our own people, they tot they win the political battle by kicking own singaporean out but only to find young ang mo filling in and treated better.
i do not want to start a gender war but this is the observation i had so far in my 5 years experience in regional and global role in 2 MNC.

So, most of foreign head Management is too political to hire employee, they are not based how much the people can contributed to the society! however, this is a lost for Singapore society to use this kind of head.
