Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Barclays Bank, Shin Corp “make money from Singapore/Singaporeans to benefit foreigners” again and again…
When it comes to benefitting Singaporeans with their own money: “it will be very costly to keep the country flood-free”, PayAndPay minister, wife of Temasek’s boss… oops *husband, said.
Singaporeans’ money in the billions for foreigners is OK, but no money for Singaporeans to prevent floods.

Indonesia’s anti-monopoly commission, the Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU), will reportedly confiscate Temasek Holdings’ assets in Indonesia in lieu of unpaid fines from Temasek and its subsidiaries, according to Indonesian paper Koran Tempo.
Temasek had been found guilty in 2007 of breaching anti-competition laws, after it was accused of having a monopoly on Indonesia’s mobile telecommunications market. It was fined US$15 billion. It has allegedly failed to pay this fine.
Eight of its subsidiaries – Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte Ltd, STT Communications Ltd., Asia Mobile Holding Company Pte Ltd, Asia Mobile Holdings Pte Ltd, Indonesia Communications Limited, Indonesia Communications Pte Ltd, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., and Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte – are reportedly being fined 15 billion rupiah (S$2.2 million) each.
When contacted by AsiaOne, Goh Yong Siang, Senior Managing Director, Strategic Relations said: “Temasek has not received official notification from the Supreme Court.”
