Singaporeanization starts with sinkies taking charge of the their own lives, destiny and their civil rights.
What's holding back this process?
Ignorance, fear, the lack of active mass participation in events like the Feb 16th 2013 Hong Lim Park protest, etc...
The ruling party knows that they can only exert control and rule if the population remains docile and pliant.
To many the Hong Lim Park protest holds little significance or importance to their lives, but not the ruling party.
The ruling party fears the Hong Lim Park Protest. The LKY SGH wayang just before Feb 16 2013 confirms it.
Its the process of educating, empowering and demystifying which they feared would eventually transform the docile and pliant population into an active and rights conscious population.
After Feb 16 2013, we witness a gradual intensification of control over the social media, bloggers, cartoonists, and civil rights
activists, lobbyist and fellow sympathizers. The fear propaganda begins the takes its toll.
When I was at the May Day Protest, I can witnessed the process of educating, empowering and demystifying has already
taken a life of its own. Through this momentum, the catalystic multiplying effect would eventually imbues and empowers the population with the right mindset and perspective.
This is what the ruling party will try to prevent or obstruct or decimate.

But we as citizens and netizens of sinkieland should intensify our efforts to thwart this fear propaganda.
