SIA mooncakes for public sale
SINGAPORE - Customers can get a taste of mooncakes offered by Singapore Airlines (SIA) this coming Mid-Autumn Festival.
Between Aug 7 and Sept 8, SIA mooncakes will go on sale at Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City. They will also be served on board selected flights departing from Singapore on Sept 8.
This is the first time that SIA is selling its own mooncakes to the public.
"The Mid-Autumn Festival is traditionally a special time for friends and family to bond. These thoughtfully crafted mooncakes are the perfect gift of good wishes to share with loved ones this season," said Tan Pee Teck, SIA's senior vice-president of Product & Services.
Four SIA selections flavours - passion fruit with rosella, pandan with five grains, orange lotus with walnuts and white lotus with black sesame - will be sold at $68 per box of four.
Its two heritage favourites flavours - white lotus double yolk and white lotus mashed yolk - will be sold at $68 per box of four and $64 per box of four, respectively.
Two additional flavours - osmanthus frangranced with crisp plum and red bean with milk paste - will also be showcased at Takashimaya.
Customers may place their orders in-flight for home delivery through KrisShop or online through www.krisshop.com
KrisFlyer and PPS Club members will enjoy a 15 per cent early-bird discount for orders placed before July 31.
All customers stand to win a pair of Business Class return tickets to Shanghai with each box of four mooncakes purchased.
