<!-- END social media sharing functions -->SINGAPORE: A train on the North East line was reported to be leaking badly on Wednesday morning.

A commuter travelling from Sengkang to Harbourfront on the affected train posted a picture online, saying it was "raining in the train".

According to the commuter, the leakage continued throughout the entire journey.

In response to Channel NewsAsia's enquiries, an SBS Transit spokesperson confirmed the incident.

Senior Vice President of SBS Transit Corporate Communications Tammy Tan said the water leakage was 'due to an electronic failure in the air-conditioning control system'.

She added that the fault has since been rectified.
