Warning: bastards who ride electric bikes

yeah just one thing i dun understand,
why when there are opposition gathering to protest PAP, the police all appear and arrest everyone
but when there are thousands of illegal electric bike around, you cannot find a single police around, yeah they dun even have to chase them down, just stick around in geylang and electric bike will come to you.

I absolutely do not have a problem with bicycles (legally motorized or human powered) and actually believe the LTA must provide for them in the way of cycle paths along main roads, etc. Such paths are widely available in the Netherlands and Taiwan. Why not here?

And it is also the cyclists' welfare I have in mind when I call for the enforcement of traffic rules, not just other road users. Not too long ago, a neighbour was killed while coming into traffic without giving due notice. Many other times, I've seen near accidents when cyclists (sometimes with pillion) rush onto roads from pedestrian pavements without looking and way too fast for oncoming traffic to react to.

So if poor cyclists are to be helped, the infrastructure for them to operate in must be provided for and the laws enforced.

Cycle paths cost money. Cyclists are poor 5th class citizens of 4th class citizens. Making cycle paths meant less $$$$$ for LKY stinkapore sovereign fund for him to play play with.

Fines for cyclist inconsiderate riding are much much more heavy than inconsiderate drivers of cars, trucks and cement mixers. So do not say laws here not enforced as that bring even
more $$$$ for LKY stinkapore sovereign fund for him to play play with.

I can bet your neighbour was not killed by a cyclist.

I can bet a lot more people are killed by cars , trucks and cement mixers than cyclist.
And tell me why is the fine for errant cyclists a couple magnitude more than for errant motorists?

Do not take my word. Go check it out to understand smear of shit on sole of shoe LKY Stinkapore justice

The Sinkieland poodles are very on the ball when in comes to scoring points to impress their masters.

Don't believe the silly hype on police-themed tv dramas and Crimewatch.

quite true, as compared to our mudland matas,

they have to fight real war in Sabah jumgle

I do not know if the fines for inconsiderate cycling are higher than the driving equivalents but I do know that enforcement of the laws on cyclists is negligible. Every day that I am on the road, I see some or all of the following:
  • cycling against the flow of traffic on major roads such as Bencoolen St, Geylang Rd, Serangoon Rd, North Bridge Rd, etc.
  • cycling on the pavement and rudely ringing at pedestrians
  • carrying a pillion
  • motorized bicycles that are obviously beyond the allowed capacities
  • phone riding
  • reckless filtering across multiple lanes of major roads, etc.

If these laws were enforced, many of these people will be in jail, since many of them probably can't pay the fines. Since they are not, I can only surmise that they are getting away with very dangerous behaviour (to themselves and to others) out of official neglect.

Just run over these arseholes when you see them and that would discourage these fuckers from being on the streets.
It's those riding electric bikes on pedestrian pathway that are dangerous. Why you punish those riding on road?

There could have been a mistranslation of the Sin Ming article. One Chinese translation of motorcycle is 电单车 which literally means 'electric bicycle'. So, she could have been hit by a motorcycle rather than an electric powered bicycle.

even if motorbike..................can kana dragged for 40 metres meh ?

surely the bike would fall over or the rider will know mah

The machines are illegal but neither LTA nor TP has done anything to enforce their own laws. They are the next big tragedy.
Electric bike riders should be licensed just like normal motor bikes. Need to go for written test and practical exam. Those caught riding electrical bikes without license should be charge.

OK say wrongly but I mean those fuckers who ride on the pathway and also on the park connectors.

unfortunately, our local news is made up of half fuck reporting and half truths by state controlled media.

You forgot to mention the magic password " CSJ "....100 "ang chias' will arrive, before you say "when"!!

Park connectors are meant for cyclists to ride.

I see... you rather the cyclists ride on roads , get smashed by cement mixers and spill their brains on the road.
You feel so much happier that way.

The day will come when it is your kid under that cement mixer.

What fucking cock you talking? Motorised bikes allowed on park connectors and endangering others? Maybe a motorised bike will kill your kids you cheebye kia.

Not too sure about motorized bikes. But it's legal to cycle along park connectors.

One famous example I can think of is the Siglap Park Connector due south of Kembangan MRT. It runs parallel along a canal, and is flanked by some convent schools and private residential areas.

There are even bicycle rental kiosks along the way.

Going through the park connector is the only viable way for both pedestrians and cyclists to get from the MRT station to East Coast Park quickly.

Back in the day I have seen motorbikes travel through void decks. Other than the noise, it's not really a safety issue.

Yes I know can cycle on the park connector but only normal bicycle. Motorised bicycle going fast on the connector is very dangerous because got many young children play there. This topic is about the motorised bicycle and so I say they cannot be allowed on the connector. The cheebyekia escher anyhow say cock. Then he talk about family so I say him back.

According to the LTA, approved motorized bicycles are treated as bicycles and should therefore be allowed on park connectors. The motors in the approved bikes only assist the process of cycling, not take over. So if you have trouble cycling uphill, the motor will kick in and help to drive the wheels as you cycle. They also stop supplying power to the wheels when the bike hits 25kmh.

But many I've seen are clearly beyond these specifications and behave more like motorcycles than bicycles in terms of speed and the fact that you don't have to paddle. Yet neither LTA nor TP has done much about them.
