THE Housing Board will look into the feasibility of reviving a rental scheme for newly-weds who cannot get new flats, Parliamentary Secretary Maliki Osman said in Parliament on Thursday. Replying to a question from Jurong GRC MP Halimah Yacob, he, however, stressed that newly-weds have enough housing options: they can stay with their parents, buy a resale flat or rent. Madam Halimah had asked if the rental scheme could be revived to help newly-wed couples set up a home, pending allocation of their own flats. 'HDB will look into its feasibility, bearing in mind the housing needs of the different groups which it caters for,' said Mr Maliki.
