A lawyer’s drug-consuming habit came to light after he was stopped at Woodlands Checkpoint with drug utensils and drugs in his car.

Mark Tan Teik Yu, 42, had agreed to help his friend of 10 years smuggle nimetazepam across the border when he was caught with methamphetamine, and the nimetazepam, as he was returning to Singapore in 2018.
