It aims to build a 7-storey facility to support its stalls and outlets.

Food & beverage store operator and manager Koufu Group is eyeing an initial public offering (IPO) in the Singapore Exchange (SGX). It lodged a preliminary prospectus in the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

According to the prospectus, it plans to establish an integrated facility in Singapore to its procurement, preparation, processing, and distribution functions to support for its F&B outlets and self-operated F&B stalls. It aims to develop as a seven-storey building on a land area of approximately 8,000 sqm and total gross floor area of approximately 20,000 sqm.

Proceeds of the IPO will go to the capex for the proposed facility, the revamp and construction of F&B outlets, and its expansion through joint ventures, strategic alliances, acquisitions or investment opportunities.

Koufu has an interesting business model; they capitalize on their numerous kopitiam locations and offer stallholders the chance to upgrade to another location ANYTIME within their contract period, by just paying for the price difference and signboard. (downgrade got some penalties, so stallholders will not downgrade). In this way, stallholders support the high rental prices of their prime locations.

Sounds like a fucked up business proposition.

sad or not?

Koufu, like Kimly, are stable businesses. You should buy their shares. Buy!

It gives the stallholders flexibility and allow koufu to fetch the bestest price for prime locations.

fnb companies and kopitiams and maid agencies are enjoying such tremendous success in SG and support from 6.9m sinkies that they are issuing in ipos left and right......this shows that Singapore is heading in the right direction under the leadership of PAP.
