VW abandon German platform and adopt Chink platform instead

Same with Toyota.

Made and probably designed in non Toyota China factory.

With EV changing the market
ICE car assemblies in Thailand are in deep trouble.

Trouble with German cars, ICE or EV, is that they're over-engineered - too much electronics leading to higher cost of manufacturing, higher maintenance cost, more frequent breakdowns. VW is probably the most competitive German marque because of economies of scale, but they're way behind the Japs or Koreans for ICE and the Chinese for EV.

ICE cars are in trouble as EV's in Thailand and jiu hu are exempted from taxation until end 2025 I think.
In Thailand it's even more drastic as it's petrol are more expensive. Charging cost as a fraction of petrol. Plus cost of EV about same as ICE cars. So in Bangkok, it's a no brainer.
