Vote-buying: WP’s main strategy in winning Hougang for the past decades

Based on all the Town Council Management Reports, Vichy WP has a very consistent track record of allowing its residents not to pay their S&CC fees. This latest report shows that Vichy WP is replicating this dirty trick to Aljunied. Now, over 50% of the households there have been allowed to not paying their S&CC fees for more than 3 months!


No wonder Vichy WP has been winning Hougang for the past decades. Free lunch what, who don’t want? Lucky Draw what, who don’t want? Similarly, Vichy WP has been using “Lucky Draw” to attract people to attend almost all of their “grassroot” activities.


Without all the “Lucky Draws”, very few people would bother to show up at all Vichy WP “community” events. Similarly, without the vote-buying scheme to allow over 50% residents to otang their S&CC fees, Hougang people would be less obligated and less beholden to reciprocate the favour during elections.


Perhaps, Vichy WP can unveil their campaign slogan for the Punggol East people: “Vote for a Free Town Council!”

But who is going to pay for the maintenance and cleanliness of the estate?......Of course, the other less than 50% minority suckers will eventually foot the bills!


The Greeks and Hougang people have been doing this for the past decades. At least, the Greeks have the German suckers to lick their ass, but who has been clearing the rubbish for Hougang people?


It is no surprise that Hougang has so few amenities; so few children playgrounds; so few community gathering centres; so few gardens; so few walkways for the disabled; so few fitness facilities for the elderly; so few badminton/football/basketball courts; so few car drop-off points; so few covered-walkways; and so many rooftop leakages for their HDB flats as they are not regularly retrofitted.


These are the inevitable consequences as Vichy WP tries desperately to cut down estate improvement and upgrading while channeling all their limited funds, which has been squandered on vote-buying, to maintaining the very, very bare essentials.

If Vichy WP is blaming their computer system for this “error”, then why didn’t they detect such error in Hougang for the past 20 years? Are they really, really that hopelessly incompetent?

Is Vichy WP’s current financial mismanagement of Aljunied-Hougang Town Council purely the result of their gross incompetence? Or, is it simply deliberate?

Is Vichy WP deliberately allowing over 50% of the Aljunied-Hougang households not to pay their S&CC fees for over 3 months, so as to buy their votes during elections just as they had been doing in Hougang for the past 20 years?

I cannot understand how vote buying is wrong. Did the WP deprive other constituencies of public improvement projects for their estates? Come little one, let me guide you.

Perhaps the WP has deprived their constituents by delaying maintenance works or engage substandard municipal services to manage the shortfall caused by liberal waivers of SC&C charges?

Yes, that must be it. Come on! You youngsters are not pulling your weight! Row harder!
