I didnt know salt cost so much.
He's saying this to cover his own arse. Knowingly, he's already aware the YOG budget has cross the line & he simply spends time to devise this salt analogy. So if he says YOG is worth that budget, how he quantify ah?

When VB first announced his intent to run as a PAP candidate, he said his purpose was to change the PAP from the inside (he was an outspoken critic of PAP then).

Now we all can see the outcome of that intent. It is the PAP who changed him inside out instead. How did the PAP managed to do it? It's all about money. When u are paid out of this world salaries, one loses his own conscience even to the extent selling one's mother. The Old Fart knew this very well and has very cunningly used this to his advantage. People like Khaw BW, Lim Swee Say, Teo Ser Luck who are not worth even one tenth of the salary they are being paid would naturally sell their souls to their paymaster.
