Here’s what’s missing:

1) Actual action from Singapore to fix the haze

2) Taking some fucking responsibility for the situation since the 8 suspected companies are likely to be listed in Singapore, instead of passing on the blame

3) Promises to prosecute the suspected companies should investigations prove to identify the culprits, instead of leaving it up to the weak enforcement institutions in Indonesia (hey, they know it too)

And I agree that ministers should have less pay. If Obama can run USA for less pay than Ah Loong.. why should ministers and MPs here be paid so much for, IMHO , doing so little? The headcount in USA is like more than 20 times then SG's.. and if Obama can be paid lesser.. then why must our ministers and MPs be paid so much?

Besides.. if we SAVE on their salaries, we can divert the taxpayer's monies to do other things.. like.. oh.. I don't know.. WELFARE or BETTER HEALTHCARE for the people?

Ministers and scholars should not earn $68 million over their lifetime. Ministers or scholars who fail to solve a problem should lose 25 percent of their pension. 4X and the lose their pension completely. We are being generous here. In the private sector, it is out for one scew-up.

It doesnt but it certainly will shove up his arse to get more serious on his job. If everytime a situation arises, all the ministers are scrambling to get things done. Mind you, this haze is not out of the blue. It is an annual affair. Mrs Vivian would have anticipated it much earlier instead of spending time bickering over nothing with the opposition.
