Vincent Wijeysingha had to pay $5000 in damages to Tan Chuan Jin due to some stuff he said online.

Tan Chuan Jin originally requested for $20,000 but later reduced it to $5,000 after Vincent Wijeysingha said that he had no means to pay that amount. It was said that Tan Chuan Jin acted "out of goodwill" to reduce the amount requested. This case did not even go to court.
I thought the bad old days were over? PAP still can't withstand criticism?
