Vietnam tells CCP Tiongs to fuck off from its 67billion HSR project

Vietnam has not formally awarded the construction contract for its main North-South high-speed railway to any foreign country or company. While the project remains uninitiated, the major conglomerate Vingroup has withdrawn its bid to concentrate on other national projects, redirecting the execution focus to state-led mechanisms.

Maybe they should just upgrade current railway first instead of high speed rail.

can learn from ml express rail projects? fast but no need to be super fast? it’s not like viets need to rush between hanoi and ho chi minh for work. mainly for tourists.

Even in japan and, china before hsr, they had slower trains.
But of course, they got massive super cities which makes hsr for certain routes super lucrative. In the case of china, they went overboard building hsr everywhere. Including to xinjiang, which is not necessary

lanjiao oops lanzhou to urumqi hsr is ok lah. it reduces time on rail to 10-12 hours which are still long and ardous with nothing much in between. i would take the hsr instead of flying for the over 1,699km segment. and it’s slower than most other segments at 200 km/hr. moreover, ccp needs to populate xinjiang quickly with hans to rebalance population mix in favor of babi-eating tiongs. plus the rapid pla reinforcement factor in case of a muslim revolt.

They will regret this move. Didn't Taiwan changed from the Alstom-Siemens supplier to Kawasaki and by doing so, they incurred a lot of loss and delay.
