越南奠邊府一名孝順女大學生，月初幫母親送貨，豈料遭5名男子設局綁架，輪姦3日後扼死，半裸棄屍空屋天台。警方事後拘捕5名疑犯，當地傳媒形容他們被捕後毫無悔意。
22歲的高氏美緣（Cao Thi My Duyen）在母親經營的雞檔幫忙，其中一名疑犯假裝向她預訂10隻活雞，又指定要她送貨。高氏美緣到場才發現是個陷阱，不但被搶去所有財物，更遭5漢輪流淫辱近3日。高氏美緣變得虛弱時，疑犯施以毒手將其扼死。
高氏美緣失蹤3天後，被發現倒臥在棄屋天台，僅穿上一件長袖上衣及內褲，頭上戴着電單車頭盔。警方正調查事件，當地傳媒指，疑犯承認綁架、強姦及謀殺。有指總理阮春福獲悉此案後大怒，下令「用最嚴厲的刑罰處置疑犯」。
