Diabetes is a liver problem. It can also be considered as an 'organ failure'. 
It's not a sugar problem, it's your liver no longer being able to metabolize the sugar properly.
Cheesecake, cheesy fries etc have plenty of sugar too, but you won't see our jiakliaobees 'grading' them.
