(Web Desk) - A 10-month-old girl died after accidentally falling from her mother s arm while she posed for a selfie on an escalator.

The woman lost her balance when her husband asked for a selfie. The baby slipped from her arms and hit the railing of the escalator before falling down.

The incident, caught on camera, was reported in a shopping mall in Rajasthan, India. The family was on a visit to a medical clinic and had later decided to do shopping.

The baby slipped from her arms and hit the railing of the escalator before falling down.

A 10-month-old girl died after accidentally falling from her mother's arm while she posed for a selfie on an escalator.

The woman lost her balance when her husband asked for a selfie. The baby slipped from her arms and hit the railing of the escalator before falling down.

The incident, caught on camera, was reported in a shopping mall in Rajasthan, India. The family was on a visit to a medical clinic and had later decided to do shopping.

The video shows the couple taking pictures in front of a shop near escalator on the third floor before heading to another level.

"This is a clear-cut case of an accident," said a police spokesman was quoted saying by Daily Mail. "The family of the deceased baby has refused to take any legal action as it was an accident."

The incident shocked the shoppers who rushed to help the family but could not save the baby.

this accident is expected. it is nature way of getting rid of such idiotic people. you always notice such people who love to take selfies getting into accidents. First you have that idiotic narcissistic attitude taking selfies at walkways and elevators ignoring and obstructing other pedestrians(bochap attitude) , then you have that stupid tudung(obstructing her side vision and suffocating her brain making her more stupid in the hot tropical climate), and that overflowing shawl and skirt(perfect recipes for tripping over) and her moronic husband also wearing a shawl and standing in the middle of the escalators(typical selfish behaviour). so you see all these selfish and idiotic traits culminate in her losing her footings(compunded by the slippers and baggy pants and skirts), inability to grasp the side railing(as the tudung obstruct her side view) and slow reactions( as usually seen in selfies takers), resulting in the baby slipping out when she fall(more expert at holding cameras than babies as she spent more time taking selfies than handling babies). so it is all her fault. this is expected.
