Actually some of nokia phones were not so bad. Especially ones with keyboard. If they had continued improving its electronics and software, i would have continued using it. But they abandoned their customers and when whatsapp announced end of support for nokia phones, i had no choice but to move on. I especially like their small size.

It is just crocodile tears that he had shed in his final speech to his employees, just before he jetted off to Panama to enjoy the millions he had earned, while his employees whom had trusted and faith in him, helped him build up his wealth but are left with unemployment, etc....
The moment when one cries crocodile tears that one had nothing wrong, it is already a signal that he had FAILED to acknowledge errors made when NO mortal is perfect but only flawed, including even the insignificant nobody me...such are only pathetic excuses for lack of biz acumen....
EACH product has a life cycle in the competitive free market. He enjoyed the highs but DID NOT take care of WHEN the product and market share WILL go low, more so for consumer lifestyle products.
REJUVENATION of his product would had ensured continued success, thru various means with NO stone left unturned, to learn from others, to pragmatically improve upon it, regardless of product or its marketing efforts, more so with ALREADY a well known brand Worldwide thru his innovative engineers and team. He failed....
At least Nokia is still a known brand, although had diversified. It is up to its current new CEOs to figure out a better way to uplift its brand and employment of its talented and hardworking staff....by not following the failed and stubborn efforts of its crocodile tears crying ex-CEO.

I still remember the days when Nokia Care Centres were all over Sinkieland, the one on the top floor of Wheelock Place and the one along the 'bridge' linking Vivocity and Harbourfront Centre provided me with memories. 
Nokia was doomed the day that Finnish CEO Oily Pecker made an unholy alliance with Microsoft which wanted to build a 'third ecosystem' to rival Apple and Android.
Anything which gets acquired or collaborates with Microsoft never has a happy ending.
Today, Nokia is relegated to making cheap Android phones which nobody wants, powered by a crappy Tiong chip (Unisoc) that even Tiongs themselves avoid.

Singapore – Nokia today announced that StarHub has successfully completed its nationwide rollout of its XGS-PON network, connecting hundreds of thousands of homes across Singapore to 10 Gbps internet speeds. For consumer enthusiasts, the upgraded broadband network provides immediate access to additional broadband capacity needed to support bandwidth-hungry applications such as AI, immersive gaming and advanced security. It will also enable StarHub to offer new premium services that unlock additional revenue streams.
StarHub will use Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller to automate and improve network utilization. Leveraging AI-driven operations (AIOps) to drive better network decisions, Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller enables StarHub to detect network anomalies faster, anticipate service-affecting issues before they occur, and improve network utilization. Advanced analytics and trained AI agents such as the ONT Health Monitor application can help increase efficiencies and drive higher levels of automation across network and service operations.
As the first operator to launch XGS-PON services in Singapore in February 2023, StarHub also becomes the first in the world to completely migrate to a nationwide software-defined access network using Nokia Altiplano solution, enhancing network utilization through AI and automation. The speedy rollout of the deployment and migration aligns with the vision of Singaporean Government to accelerate 10Gbps PON subscriptions in support of the Digital Connectivity Blueprint.
Lee Yeu Ching, VP of Fixed and Media Networks at StarHub, said: “We have set ambitious goals to advance our network, aiming to enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Nokia, our longstanding partner, has played a vital role in the successful completion of this crucial initiative. Nokia products and services have helped us seamlessly and rapidly transition to XGS-PON, enabling faster uptake of 10Gbps services to support Singapore’s national digital transformation plan. This milestone also signifies a meaningful achievement in StarHub’s Cloud Infinity Strategy. We are now looking forward to providing not only faster internet access, but also enhanced user experience for advance applications such as Augmented/Virtual Reality and Metaverse, among others.”

Technological advancements such as next-gen PON and automation empower operators to maximize the potential of their fiber networks, introduce new services, and expedite monetization.
