I prefer turbulent flow because oxygen gets mixed into the water during the process, thereby allow us to breathe underwater. No need aqualungs.

Chaotic mixing of what? Perhaps one component is oxygen? Oxygen is absorbed into it.

Oxygen dissolution in water depends on surface area, temperature and relative oxygen already dissolved.
Turbulent flow has no effect.
